THE DOCK.
Sir,—As there kso much difficulty experienced in getting the cement to set at the new dock, would it not be possible to make blocks and lower them into position when they have hardened? Such methods seem to have succeeded in i other parts. Could they not be tried here? A slight alteration to present gear might be necessary, but the result would bo satisfactory, I venture to think.—l am, etc., MAYBERIGHT.
