PERICLES FINDING. By Telegrauh-Presa Aesobiatlon-CoDrrleht. Perth, April 15. The Marine Court of Inquiry into the loss of the steamer Pericles resulted iu the following finding :— That proper care and vigilance were exercised in navigating tho steamer; that proper steps were taken to verify her position; that tho vessel kept the course stated by tho master, which ho was justified in considering a safe and proper one; and that the Pericles struck a submerged uncharted obstruction. WRECK LOCATED. Perth, April 15. The captain of the Government steamer has,reported locating a wreck at a point Six miles from the shore. The mastheads are 18ft. under water. [Presumably it is the wreck of the Pericles which has been located. That steamer, according to the evidenco, sank at about the distance stated from the shore.] FIRE ON THE TELAMON. > ; MUCH DAMAGE. London, April 14. . The fire on the steamer Telamon (4509 tons gross), which is at Perim, on the voyage from Sydney to England, has been extinguished. The cargo in tho lower hold, where the fire was, was discharged with the utmost rapidity, but has been condemned as worthless. The discharge of the 'tween deck wool has been completed, and the wool is now drying ashore. , ANOTHER FIRE. ON A GERMAN-AUSTRALIAN LINER. : Aden, April 14. The German steel screw steamer Sonneberg, 4499 tons gross, homeward bound from Adelaide, arrived at Aden with her No. 3 hold on fire. Some difficulty is boing experienced in reaching the fire. The discharge of the cargo from No. 2 hold has. been commenced. /,■■...'.
