Speaking in the House of Lords, the Under-Secretary for War, Lord Lucas, said that the Government intended spending '£106,000 during the coming year on airship construction and experiments. The matter of aeroplane construction would be left to private experimenters. ' ' . ■ Tho Army and Navy, he added, would be likely to soon have three dirigibles, and two non-rigid balloons.
