(From Our Special Correspondent.) i—« Tho . Salvation Army held a very successful harvest thanksgiving last evening at tho barracks, I'ctone. Tho City Band was in attendance, 1 and l'enlivened tho proceedings with music, while parading to the barracks. Tho Scotch Songsters (from Glasgow) gave a splendid vocal programme. Til? Hope of l'etono Lodge of Good Templars met in tho Kanfurly Hall, Petonc, last evening, when Bro. W. Denby, C.T., presided over, a good attendance of members. One member was reobligated, and two members are to come up for readmission next week, and one for initiation. It was decided to hold a competition, and Bros. AV. Denby and Korslakc were elected as captains of tho respectivo teams. Bro. Geo. Pricc, Star of Wellington Lodge, visited tho lodge, and contributed to the programme.' After business tho lodgo went into harmony.
