HAIL AT CHEISTCHUECH. (By Telegraph.—Press Christchurch, April 12. <-:The sudden change in : the weather, which was unsettled during the day, was experienced here shortly after six o clock, when a south-westerly sprang up and apneared to have oyc'lonic possibilities.. At 630 rain fell, and in the southern part of the city hail fell, some of the stones being fairly large.. Th« storm passed, and th* remainder of tie evening has been .fine,. and dear skies. "' The Rev D. 1 C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, ; reports j that 0.62 inches of rain were registered/m Wellington by 5 p.m. yesterday. •
