The Premier also promised a Bill regulating the position of State servants, by the elimination of all possibility of injustice, with, such gnarantees that they will not be tempted to resort to a movement of revolt capable of imperilling tho nation's vital interests. Two hundred Collectivist Socialists who gathered outside smashed the windows of the banquet chamber, and came into violent conflict with the police. They stoned M. Briand and his supporters when the latter were quitting the hall. The Premier was not hurt
