FISCAL ISSUE.
A LABOUR ATTACK ON TARIFF REFORM. : By Teleeraph-Press Association-Gopyrifflil London, April 8. In a letter to the newspapers in reply to Mr. S. Storey (Unionist M.P. for Sunderland), Mr. G. N. Barnes (a Labour leader, member for Blackfriars Division of Glasgow) asserts that Tariff Reform is a fraud and would intensify industrial difficulties and enable monopolists to further, exploit labour and the consumers. Mr. Barnes adds: "Tho Labour party believe that landlordism and monopoly are the real causes of unemployment." "LAIPERIAL MISSIONERS." ' London, April 8. Half a dozen self-appoihfed, selfstyled " Imperial Missioners" from Canada, South Africa, and Australia, arc addressing' meetings in England on Imperial preference. They do not seek the support of political organisations, and do not claim to bo acting in a representative capacity, but promise to undertako a revival like a religious revival.
