A meeting of Hawera solicitors this morning resolved:—"That the.Hawera legal practitioners unanimously desire to place on record their distress and nation at the abssnco'of proper gentlemanly feeling.exhibited by Mr. Wake in addressing the magistrate (Mr. Greenfield) at Eltham on Wednesday, and to express amazement that any member of tho profession should bo- found willing to deliberately and wilfully address in the terms he is reported to have done one- who, in addition to tho venerable years and invariable courtesy, possesses tho confidence of the profession and the public as a just, honourable, and in every sense a capable magistrate. , '
