THE MINISTER FOR LANDS.
Sir, —It; is rumoured hero that the Right Hon. the Minister for Lands took up a large block of land on tho Awarua Plains, near liwercargill, and as there are many in the hon. gentleman's electorate who havo been looking out for land for a considerable time, and cannot get it, they are naturally curious to know how their member, ill his capacity.as Minister for Lands, secured this block of land, and the terms and conditions on which he took it up. Will he kindly enlighten them on this matter, or givo. his denial of the rumour if not true? Anxiously awaiting his reply.—l am, etc., ONE OF HIS ELECTORS. Invercargill, April 8, 1910.
