In regard to the extended service of the P. and 0. steamers, the company has deoided that Auckland is to bo made'the port of call. .This-information was received to-day by Mr. J. H. Gun. son, chairman of tie Auckland Chamber of .Commerce, in the form of a cablegram from Sir,'Thos. Sutherland, chairman of directors of the P. and 0. Company. Mr. Gunson .cabled to Sir Thomas on Monday last expressing the hope that Auckland would be retained as the port of call. The reply :o haud is worded: "l"cs, Auckland."
