Mossrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Levin sale, held yesterday :—"Wo had a full yarding of sheep, consisting ohiofly of wethers and ewes, which met a ready sale at auction. A keen demand still exists for good sound, breeding owes, and the lines offering wore well competed for. Wethers also were in Rood demand. We made a good clearance at the following rate:—Fat and forward wethers, Ms.; forward wethers, 13a. 7d.; store wethers, 12s. 4d. to 135.; mixed aged breeding ewes, Uβ. 9d. to 12s. f full-mouthed Eomuey breeding ewes,,i4s.; aged ewes, 6s. Id. to 9s. 6d. to 10a. 3d.; small lambs, 55.; others, to 7s. 9d.; fat ewes, 12s. to 12s. 4d.; aged rams, 10s. 3d. to £1; young bull, £1 10s.; heifers in calf, £2 17s. 6d." ' ■■ . ■
Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report:—At our Mangaweka sale on March so, wo had a very, fair ontry of both sheep aud cattle, and although the weather was exceedingly rough, prices realised wero very satisfactory to vendors, and a good demand existed. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report on their sale held.at Eketahuna on April 1:— We had an. especially heavy yardine of sheep, and the cattle pens were all filled, considerably more than advertised numbers coming • forward. Shcop sold much better than at last sale, and we have, on tho whole; to report a very successful sale. Dalgety and Co. oifered about 10C0 sheep and a cmal!'number of cattle, all .lines, with one exception, finding purchasers.. Tfcoy further report:—At the Dannevirlte sale to-day'a Rood entry of sheep was submitted: to a largo attendance of buyers, only , one line failing to sell.
