LODGE MEETING.

The weekly meeting of too Star of Newtown Lodge No. 24 was held in St. Thomas's Schoolroom, Riddiford'. Street on Wednesday evening. The lodge was opened at 7.30 p.m. by Bro. A. J. Wicks, C.T. There was a fair attendance of members and visitors 'present. Bro. LV C. Cameron, G.C.T. (from Dunedin) was officially received and was accorded an enthusiastic welcome. The G.C.T. then occupied the chair for the remainder of the evening. Tho item on the programme, was "best conundrum on city lodges" and was won by Bro. H. Milan. A hearty vote of thanks to visitors brought an enjoyable meeting to a close. ■
