KARORI HOCKEY CLUB.

There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Karori Hockey Club held last evening. • Tlio annual report, which was read and adopted, stated that the past season was not quite as successful as anticipated, the senior team finishing third, and the other teams were fairly successful in their respective competitions. The Junior and Wednesday teams did not get as much hockey as usual owing to the new Karori Recreation Ground cutting up as the season advanced. With another year's growth of turf, the ground, which is an excellent one for hockey, should stand much better, and home matches should bo playable right through the winter, or at least when the Day's Bay grounds are in use. The Senior team only played one cup match at Karori; and the association rnight with advantage consider the advisability of playing a few more Senior matches there, especially in .view of tho fact that the cars should soon be running to the grounds. Regret was expressed at the loss by transfer of Messrs'. 11. E. Willis and D. 'Elias. They have both been excellent members of the club, and their places will be hard to fill. Two sticks were donated for competition, and were awarded in the Senior team to Messrs. T: Spiers and H. E. Willis. The club is once again' indebted to Mr. C. H. Dickerson for his kindness in presenting these sticks'. Messrs. T. Spiers, ,G. Campbell, H. E. Willis, and G. Davies are to be congratulated on attaining representative honours last season. The financial position is not as strong as it was last year. There is, however, a credit balance of £1,- which is satisfactory. Tho treasurer, Mr. E. Atkin, resigned during the year, and the secretary, Mr. A. G. Cathie, was appointed in his place. The following officers were elected for the ' ensuing year:—Vice-presidsnts, Messrs. C. Dascnt, T. Campbell, and B. Burn; captain, Mr. G. AV. Davies; vicecaptain, Mr. T. Spiers; secretary, Mr. J. W. Gondall; treasurer, Mr. W. Cooper; committee, Messrs. L. Davies, T. Bailey, At. Spiers, and A. G. Cathie. Mr. G. W. Davies g.-.-ro notice to move at the next meeting that the colour of the olub's knickers be altered to black. It was decided to bpen the season tomorrow afternoon at Karori, when a scratch game will be played. - Twenty new members wore elected, and the club hope.to put in a strong team for the Senior Championship this season.
