CUSTOM'S REVENUE.
9 / FIGURES FOR THE TEAR. Customs. revenue collected at Wellington during the month of March totalled ,£60,353 os. 3d., and beer duty, amounted to <£1090 Bs. 3d. The figures for the corresponding month last year were revenue iC63,614 Ss. lOd. and beer duty .£llBB 18s. Gd. The . figures .for the financial year ended Maroli 31, 1010, .show-a steady decrease when compared with those of the precoding' twelve months. Figures for the separate quarters are given below:—
INVEECARGILL EETUENS. (By . Tcleeraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, March SI. The Customs returns, compared with the corresponding periods last year, show an increase for the month of £2019 15s. 9d., and for the quarter of .£2398 13s. 6d., but a decrease for the whole year, of wEifll 4s. 5d.. The amount of surtax collected up to the present time is £'M 12s. 2d. The beer duty shows an increase of £7 7s. 9d. for ,the month, and of M 5 2s. for tbe quarter, this representing an increased output of locally-rnanufaotured beer of 591 and 3608 gallons respectively.
