The Hope of Petone Lodge of Good Templars met for their usual weekly session in, the Eanfurly Hall last evening. Brol W. Denby presided over a fair attendance of members. Sister Thorn, Grand Chaplain (Dnnedin), and . Sister Flanagan, Grand Lodge representative- (ilasterton) visited the- lodge in I their official' capacity, and were accorded' a hearty welcome. Sister,. Thorn then took control of the meeting, and Sister i'lanagan, -the V.T. chair. The ; final arrangements for the, debate to be held with the Pioneer Lodge, Wellington, at the meeting next Wednesday, were made. It was also decided to invite the Star of Johnsonvillo to the next session, when a. special programme is to come from Wellington.. After business, Sisters Thorn and Flanagan briefly addressed the lodge and expressed the. hope that the lodge .would unitedly strive to bring about the suppression- of the liquor traffic. The Eev. Seamer was proposed as a member of" the lodge.' A programme of songs and recitations was then given.
