• ALLOCATION OP GROUNDS. 1 The Reserves Committee of the City Council held a meeting yesterday morning to oonsider the allocation of sports grounds for the winter. Representatives of the prinoipal sports.bodies attended.as follow to express their views Messrs. Coffey (Wellington Centre New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association), Roberts and Meyer (Football Association),' Organ (Hookey Association), and Casey (Lacrosse Association). , ' :- • The following 6oheme of allocations was drawn up, which will.be referred to the various sports bodies for ■ their suggestions before being finally considered by the committee at a meeting to bo held on Monday next:— , SATURDAY AFTERNOONS. Basin Reserve.—Wellington Football Association, north-west portion; Australian League, north-east portion; Lacrosse Association, south side. Newtown Park.—Rdgby ,Union, No. 1 ground; Football Association, No. 2 ground. Duppa Street Reserve.—Football Association and- Rugby Union to divide upper ground; Hockey.Association and Lacrosse Association to divide lower ground. Kelburne Park.—Hockey Association and Football Association. ' Nairn Street Reserve.—Football Association. WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS. Basin Reserve.— Wednesday Hockey Association, half the ground, i Newtown Park.—Rugby _ Union, No. 1 ground; Football Association, No. 2 ground. Kelburno Park.—Wednesday Hockey Association. Duppa Street Reserve—Hockey Association, lower ground. A limited use will also lie made of Anderson Park for hockey. Kilbirnie Park will be available for local , players...
