SUPREME COURT SESSIONS.

At the Supreme Court to-day irthur Campbell, who pleaded guilty • fo the theft of sheepskins, was sentenced to 18 months', imprisonment.'- Haxry Wildman, arraigned on a charge of stealing a cheque, was admitted-to probation for twelve months. Leonard-Lotter. was sentenced to two , years' imprisonment for ■forgingand littering, and Robt. Harris,t< two years for criminal assault. Gisbome, March'ls. Nathaniel Burgess; who ' was found gnilty of not keeping proper books, was to-day admitted, to probation. "* Greymouth, March 15. The Supreme Court .was emgaged today in hearing three civil actions. Tom6rrow the judges and assessors will visit Ngahere. to inspect the land alleged to have been damaged by. railway construction, for which compensation is claimed by the owner.
