To-day Petone ratepayers will be called upon to select a representative for - the Hospital and, Charitablo AM Board. The three candidates standing are:—Messrs. J. W. M'Ewan, W. Inglis, and E. W. Short. Polling takes pace at Victoria Street Hall and . Korokorp Schoolroom.
The first annual .meeting of the Petona Wednesday Hockey Club was held on Monday evening, when there was an excellent attendance. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. J; W. M'Ewan; vice-presidcnts, Messrs. W. Wearne, B. C. Warnes, C. J. Hollard, E. Anstis, G. Wilson, J: Cotton, W. Inglis, J. Martin, 6. Crbnin; and. K. Travers; captain, Mr. J. ■ M'Ewanvicecaptain; Mr. E, Nicholas;' secretary, Mr, W. M'Ewan; treasurer, Mr. F. Dolling; management committee, Messrs. J. M'Ewan, F. Dolling, B. Hoyfe, S. Beswick, H. White; J. Parrarit, - and W. M'Ewan; selection committee, Messrs. E. Nicholas, J. M'Ewan, and, W. Wearne; ground committee, Messrs. JL. White, F. Dolling, and J. M'Ewan.
