SATURDAY'S SPORTS.
It is to be regretted that H. Kerr, the well-known walker,. • will be unable to make the trip to endeavour to. lower the -three-mile Australasian walking reoord .at the sports meeting next Saturday. However, patrons can rely on witnessing a good aftornoon's sport. The tug-of-war. will prove an interesting item. Several well-known local teams are competing, and the contest should be a keen one. A. Highland bagpipe competition has been arranged, and this will be an innovation at am. amateur athletic sports gathering. The Garrison Band has been engaged for the afternoon.
