The game between Old i Boys and United was continued. Bartlctt was in great form with the ball, doing the "hat trick.". Requiring 119 to save an innings defeat, Old Boys put on 162, M'Keuzio being top scorer, with a very useful 68. For United, Boon rattled up 80 in quick time, and the number required to win was secured for the loss of ono wicket. The match Wtwoon Feilding and Old Boys lj is still incomplete, 1 the former so far having rather the best of the game. A challenge match was played on Saturday between, teams representing tho Y.iU.C.A. Boys* Department ; and the Thorndon Methodist Bible Closs, tho former winning by 30 runs. Scores: Y.M.C.A., 20 and 70 (Hodge 32)'; Thorndon, 29 (Muldoon 17) and 37 (D.Cody 13). Bowling for Y.M.C.A., Cr, Adair took twelve wickets; for 29 runs, and Hodge seven for 31. Muldoon, for Thorndon, took twelve for '40.
