The War Office is inviting tenders, returnable on Juiy 4, for 412,500 twelve-ounce tins and 68,700 twenty-four-ounco tins of preserved meat; also, by special contract, for 75,000 twelve-ounce tins and 62,500 twenty-fonr-ounee tins; all for delivery in October and November. ' The latter contract contains a replacement clause.

The fourth and last wool sale of the season was held to-day, tho prices realised being on a par with those of last month's sale. The total for the four sales hold this season la 40,672 bales, as against/38,009 last year. ~ 'WOOL MARKET.
