THIRD DAY'S .RACING. MALT -KING DEFEATS .PRINCE .... FOOTE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. March 3, 5.35 p.m.) Flemington, March 3. There was beautiful weather for the third clay's racing in connection with the Victoria Racing Club's meeting, and tho racing was' highly interesting, notwithstanding that the field for tho All .Aged Stakes was reduced to. three runners. Sportsmen had been looking forward to the meeting of Alawa and Prince Foote, and there was naturally keen disappointment when the former, being unwell, was withdrawn. Interest then centred in the contest between Malt King and Princo Foot. ,-Malt King had defeated tho Melbourne Cup winner over a mile courso earlier' in the season, and the Malster colt again proved too brilliant to-day, and his victory naturally won groat plaudits. There was a'protest by Prince Foote as Malt King ran across in tho straight, but the. protest was dismissed. The. following are tho results:—
