The first case taken was that in which Uen Gen and-Wops Gee were charged β-ith that thsy did wilfully set Sre to a shop in Queen Street. Evidence was taken as to the circumstance's, in. connection with tho outlmak of the fire, and the Court adjourned till to-morrow niornin".

At the Supremo Court sittings to-day Earry Sinclair pleaded guilty to clu-gS of theft and breaking, and entering was sentenced to six months' hard a bour on each charge, this to be cumulative on a _ sentence of eighteen ■ months. Which he is now serving. Rudolph Ernest Jvobertstein, convicted of theft nf cattle, was sentenced to two years' hard labour kenred Ernest JDavey, for theft received a sentence of Uclve months' imprisonment.
