THE" BLACK FAMILY. ■ Before a numerous audienco tho Black Family gave another concert in the Opera House last night. The programme was the ; same as that , which liatl been presented on tho previous evening. Miss Nellie Black was heartily applauded for her fine rendering of Zardo's "Lo, the Angels.", The flute solo, : "Lion du Bal," was so well given by Miss Elsie Black that' she had to respond to an emphatic recall. Other > items which were thoroughly enjoyed were the mandolin quartet, and , 111-. Harry Spencer's comic singing. There will lie a complete change of programing, this evening. ..
' THEATRE,ROYAL.. , The bill at the Theatre Royal this week evidently suits tho public taste, as was evidenced by the large and appreciative audience last night. Jtr. Jack Russell, tho Eiiglish actor-vocalist,, continues to score heavily with his descriptive ballads, his localised song, "Come for' a Trip on the lCelburne; Car," being most enthusiastically. received. .Miss Maud Hewson, the. popular contralto, Bartlott, 'the singing fireman, : Beattie M'Donald," the dainty serio, Miss Gertie Johns, an exceptionally clover dancer,' and everybody's favourite, Frank, Yorke, contributed' t0... a capital programme.- To-night will appear for the. first time what is claimed to be the best troupe of mariqnettes ;■ in the world, Deave's Mannilcins, from Keith's Theatre, Now York. This is stated, to bo a "show •in itself,": and alone worth' the admission.
