-'. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd:, .report having, held their annual ram fair yesterday at'the showground, Blenheim. The report states that it was by far the most -successful fair yet held in the district. Some.good'sheep wore yarded, bat a largo number of inferior, sorts wore; offered. Eomneys and English Loioesters were the popular fancies, and sold freely, and every slieep of-note : in, theso ; classes changed hands. Border Leicesters ■ are coming more into favour, .and-sold fairly. Shropshires were - unsaleable, : and Lincolns met with a slow sale. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as. follows;—At Waikanao, on .Wednesday, wo had an exceptionally, heavy yarding of sheep,'s26o being penned. The stock .offered comprised . chieGy good straight lines of sheep, and all classes sold well at prices .-in advance of recent, quotations, more especially in tho case of lambs and forward wethers. Buyers were presont in large cumbers, and the bulk of the sheep went to outside purchasers. Every pen except one was 6old -under tho hammer. ■ The cattle yards were, well filled, and sold at price's on a par with recent sales. .
