TO PROSPECT THE TARARUAS.
COMPANY FOEMED. (By TeleeraDh.—SDeoial. Oorresnondent.) Mastorton, February 2. 'A-.;representative' meeting .of business men and settlers was held foiday, when it was resolved to establish a Wairarapa Minerals' Prospecting Company. The number ' of' shares was fixed at 1000 at ,£1 each, and as "soon as 250 shares are subscribed the'.company will be registered as a limited liability company. ; The meeting .was, enthusiastic, and a great many shares wore v taken up in the room. The proposal is to thoroughly prospect the ; Tararua -Ranees;. Samples of quartz obtained from the range in question were submitted to the meeting. The following provisional directors were appointed:—Messrs,-C. E. Daniell, W. C. Buchanan, D. Donald, W. B. Chennells, J C- Ewington; J. Hunter, E. Kibblewhite, J. Caieelberg,; A. Henderson, G. C. Summerell, J.' Hessey,, D. ■ J. Cameron, and W'. H. Cruickshank. Mr. E,. Brown was appointed secretary.... . '. , A. prospectus, was drawn up and approved at the meeting.
