Dalsety and Co., Ltd.,. report hav-, ing held tho fortnightly salo at their Up-, per Jiutt yards; yesterday, .'i'he report' states:—Stock came forward up to advertised numbers, and we offered about 500 aheep and,a full yarding of cattle, 'i'here was a. good attendance of buyers, and; all ' kinds of stock sold up to y full market rates. Good lines of young cattle were.-in keen demand,' and practically all • lines yarded were Bold at the following prices:— Sheep: Fat ewes, to. lis. Id.;, wethers, Bs." 2d. to IDs. 7d.; aged breeding ewes, 4s. 9d. to 78. 5d.; rape, iambs,' 6s. 3d.; small- do., 3s. 6d. to 55.; agdd rams, 10s. 6d, to 21s. 6d. . Cattle: Dairy cows, £5 15s. to £6; springing heifers, £3 lis. to £5; fat cows,'£3 195., £4 65., £4 125., £5 Is.; eighteen-month heifers, £2 2s. to £2 65.; eighteen-month steers, . £2 ss. v to £s;'two and a half-year' steers, ' £3 10s.; young -bulls, £1 to £2; aged bulls, - £1 to ; £2 10s; -Messrs. ? Dalgety 'and C 0.,. Ltdl, report:— At'our Palmerston sale yesterday only a medium entry of . stock camo forward. Rape lambs were in .good demand, but breeding ewes met.\with only dull inquiry. Quota- • tions:—Mixed' weaners, 305.;. store cows, £2. to £3 3s. 6d.; Jersey cross weaner hei-fors,-355.; two to .two and a half-year steers, '£4 2s.' : " ' Messrs. Abraham'and TiVilliams report as follows:—At /our Palmerston North salo yesterday we. offered a- heavy yarding of - sheep,; and a medium yarding of cattle. Sheep imet with-a ready, sale, and we effected a total clearance, with the exception of two pens. . "We quote:—Fat wethers, 12s. 6d.;-two-tooth\wethers;. small, 7s. lOd. to Bs. 10d.j mixed aged breeding ewes, 95.; four-tooth ewes, 12s. 5d.; cull ewes, 2s. to '3s. lid.; fonvard.ewes, Bs.; lambs,.3s;'9d., 55.. 2d., ss. ■ lid.,, Bs.; rams, 75.6 d. to.Bs. Every pen of cattle offered was.sold under the hammer at" satisfactory prices.
