Arding and Hobbs's drapery establishment at Clapham —which led to the destruction of forty shops and houses with an estimated' damage' of a million sterling—five mere bodies have been found in tho ruins. Th.o makes tho number of deaths eight. Distressing scenes occurred during the rollcall of Messrs. Arding and Hobbs's employees. The head of tho firm broke down while announcing the necessity of dismissing tho assistants with a week's wages. Mossrs.
