If, however; the area in question was not required for burial purposes, fhe best- course'■- to .adoptwould be to apply to the Lands Department to change the purpose of the portion of the reserve.in.'question. In,that. event the question would then arise as to whether it should bo made an endowment for some local purpose or eold, and the proceeds expended ,in the purchase or maintenance of .another, cemetery for the borough of Wanganui.
