The Houso ,of Eepresenlatives has passed the Naval Loan Bill, which deals with the financing of tho Australian naval unit. Tho House amended tho Bill by reducing tho rate of interest from SJ to 3 per cent, and fixed tho period of redemption at twenty years. Fiyo ' per cent of the total loan will be paid into the sinking fund. MILITARY SERVICE. PAETIAL EXEMPTION ON EELIGIQUS GROUNDS. Melbourne, December 3. ' Tho Podoral Senate carried an. amendm&nt to tho Defonco Bill to tho affect that persons forbidden by their religion lo 6om as soldiers should bo exempt, as far as possible, from other than non-combatants' duties.
