Pichon, French Minister for Foreign Affairs, stated that Spain bad agreed to confine hostilities in Morocco to punishing the rebellious tribes. i Tho Minister laid stress on Germany's loyalty in connection with Morocco, which had resulted in a real detente, which ought to be a satisfaction, to both countries. Tho present outrageous treatment of French proteges, tho Jows, in Morocco, added the Minister, could riot be tolerated longer. If tho Sultan persisted in his present attitude, Franco would be obliged to intervene
