There was n. grand show of Jer«cys, -which wore much moro even in quality and'type than those shown at North. The champion bull and cow, shown by Mi S C B Watson, w oiild ihavo beaten tho best shown at the northern show. The bull ..was imported from Mr G T Chirnside's breed (Victoria) Mr Watson was tho principal exhibitor and prize winner, and took both champion and reserve Tht> Ayr'hire- were al o a fine lot Mr John Parlano, who e herd is prmcipdlh bred up from tie old Sunnyslde stock, in as tho largest exhibitor and prize-taker His champion bull was bred bj Mr Cowan, of Oamaru, and his champion cow b> Mr W Rankin A bra ill but good show of\fat cattle was on view.
