Lloyd's Register of Shipping report shows that the vessels which Lloyd's classified in 1908-1909 totalled 851,98 V tons, as compared with 1,454,722 in J906-1907. The total tonnago under construction in Juno last in Britain was only 53 per cent, of tho amount of building m 1906.
