The Daylight Saying Bill i\as tho subject of favourablo comment at tho Education Board meeting to-day from Mr. Purdie Tho subject under discussion at the time was tho penod during' which tho schools under the board should be closed for tho Christmas holidays, The chairman regretted that thoy had not tho p6wer to ostend holidays until soma time dunng February, and Mr. Purdie remarked that if thcro was ono thing that would benefit by the adoption of the Daylight Saving Dill it would he the schools, "ft would be absolutely the best thing that could bo for school teaching," ho baid School could then begin quite early m tho morning, and the children would bo able to havo noarly tho whole of tho afternoon to themselves.
