Borden, leader of the Canadian' Opposition, gives his tentative approval to the proposals for the construction of a Canadian ;N.avy of cruisers and destroyers, at a capital cost of £4,000,000, with a charge of a year for upkeep. He endorses" the suggestion that tho cruisers ehould be constructed in Canada. ■-■■.. The Toronto "Sun," an organ- of the ngricnlturists, demands'that an appear bo made to the country before Sir Wilfrid Lanrier spends four or five million sterling on ships. ■ ■ . ■
