Swimming Club • on Friday states that last season was the most , successful one.which the club has experienced,' ; not only from a-financial point, of view, but al6o from a sporting standpoint. The comi miltee extends its thanks to Mr. Thos. Crouch, [ who presented the club with, a silver cap, ■ which has to be,won three times in succession or;five times at.intervals before it becomes the : property of the winner.. The cup was coml poted for in three handicap, races, for which' i points were given: The winner-turned up in l G. P. Hannah The annual carnival. was a > great, success, .oyer 800 spectators being pre- • sent, and the club racing was also satisfactory, i The committee, extends ..its' speoial thanks to Mr. A. A.
