..The annual meeting of th« Thorndon Lawn Tennis Club was held at tho office of the Hutt County Council yesterday afternoon, Mr. A. Youne presiding. Executive officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow.—President, Mr. R. U. Simpson (re-elected); vice-president, Mr. A. Young;, secretary, Mr. P. H. Putnam; treasurer, Mr. R. St. J. Beere; committee, Mrs. Holmes, Miss Hannay, and Messrs. H. Gore, G. G. S. Robertson, and L. G. Mackay. . It was decided to formally open the club's season on Saturday, October 23; if tho weather be unfavourable, on the following Saturday. The question of entering teams for tfio shield, cup. Pennant, and racket competitions, was left in the hands' of the committee.
