Opunake' Clubs making the-roll now stand at.52 clubs,-irith Tl Hiwi, Khandallah (Wellington), Devonport, Onehunga (Auckland), and Terrace End (Palmcrston North) Clubs to join us this coming season, giving a total of 57 clubs, .vith close on +000 members, and maintaining the associations position as one of.the strongest in the colonies. .Tho popularity,of tho game is still very markedly on the increase throughout the Dominion,-as is evidenced by the association s own increasing numbers, , -by the yearly opening of new clubs at differenfpoints, and by/the keen interest that is taken'in the various tournament and other competitions. tournament at-Napier, in January-proved most successful in' every respect. The council congratulates the Pihama Club players on their win in the citizens' match at Napier, and it also congratulates the Napier and Feilding Clubs on being i twice Winners at that meeting: The 'usual intcr-club tournament will bo held this season on the Wellington city and suburban clubs' greens, commencing on Monday, January 10, 1910. Thcrota of play has not ?et been decided upon, but programmes will be distributed as soon .as possible.
