Tho Pretender, who, recently., made his ontry to Fez in aa iron cage strapped on. < {he back of a camel,' boldly flinging insults at the crowd who jeered him, is bdievedto' have sums of money on deposit in foreign banks. To clear up the matter and extort.a, confession, the Sultan, who recently held a> fruitless interview with tho Pretender through the bare of the cage, now proposes to place his captive in a wooden shirt studded with nails inside. ■ It is hoped that by this moans Bu Hamara will be persuaded to hand over tho money to Mulai Hafid.
