At the Supreme Court in the second trial of Oscar Volfred Sgovqll, oa' a charge of committing an assault upon a littlo girl soven years of age, at Hamilton,- the jury, after retiring for pver two hours, brought m a verdict of "guilty." Prisoner was sentonoed to twelvo months' imprisonment. Albert. Charles Weingott, on a cliargo of horsestealing, was sentenced to eighteen months. Mary Grogory ; ;(adThinistratrix), and James S. Gregory, iTho olaim,was for £312 (six years wages <at I£l per week) as manager of a farm. Tlfe :casi> was a family matter, in which, nil parties woro beneficiaries nnilor a will. His 'Honour said that plaintiff was entitled to something, but not £1 a wcolc, as the proceeds from tho farm wore small, and the , amount named would . trench on the estate. Plaintiff was really only entitled to.the amount to which tho estate benefited by his service, and would bo awarded £75 and costs. i' ' ;
