August 25, 9.5 p.m.) Paris, August 25. ■ At tho aviation tourney at Rheims M. Bleriot, 'manoplanist, won back from Mr.. Curtiss, biplanist, the speed record which tho former lost yesterday (when, after M. Bleriot had flown about 61 miles in. 8 minutes 42 seconds, Mr. Curtiss went out in bis biplane and beat that performance by seven seconds). To-day , M. Bleriot beat Mr. Cnrtiss's record by 31 seconds. Other French aeroplanista made many daring evolutions. "THE ENTENTE." RENEWED ON AN AERIAL BASIS. (Rec. August 25, 11 p.m.) ■ ' •.... Paris, August 25. A gathering of 100,000 persons at the aviation ground at Rheims, where tho aeroplane tourney is being held, gave an ovation to President Fallicres. The President received General French and other British representatives, and affably conversed with them, amid cheers for "the Entente." London, August 24. Mr. . Lloyd-George, Chancellor of ' tho 1 Exchequer, interviewed on his impressions of tho Rheimß aeroplane tourney; expressed great admiration of tho exhibition, which was organised by the French Aero Club; without Government help. The progress of that association in so short a time was. marvellous. He only wished such a meeting was possible early in England—say,on Salisbury Plain.
