COMPULSORY RESUMPTION OF LAND. PASSED WITHOUT DEBATE. (By Telegraph.—Fre«s Association.-CoDyrlfht,l (Rec. August 25, 9.5 p.m.) : London, August 25. In committee of the House of Commons the debate on the Irish Land Bill was continued. Tho most important clauses, including, those empowering the Estates Commissioners to compulsorily acquire estates or untenanted land, were carried under the guillotino without discussion. ■ ; FIVE CLAUSES AN HOUR. London, August 24. "The Times," commenting on the debate on the Irish Land Purchase Bill, says that in the throe hours following the first fall of the guillotine tho House was asked .to legislate at the . rate .of five clauses an hour, or one in twelve minutes. ;
