He; stated, with regard to an upplioation whioh had been'received" from Mr. ; A. W.. Jl;]?., for tho admission of an old age.pensioner, /from the-Wairarapa.diß-triot, ;that there* was not a : single 'spare bed iu the homo now. Accommodation had even to be provided for two or threi) in the sittingroom. ■ Some discussion -followed with, regard 'to the geneffll question of relief An the Wairarapa, and it was pointod out 'that'the Solway Ifomo, controlled-by tbn North Wairarapa BeneTolent Institution; ■ had : only accommodation for ten inmates.
