VEDANTA LECTURE.
1 "Tho Seeking and Finding of Self," was the subject,of,an interesting leoture given on Sunday, morning- at the Masonic Hall , by Sister Ayabamia, representing the iVedanta movement in the, colonies. Tho lecturess stated;— The self, of t Vedanta, is; God,- which.is the power in all things, which i causes it to move. on. and-on to higher evolution. Vedanta recognises we are all one, being part of the same soul, of which all'souls are but manifestations: The whole religion , of Vedanta is centred in realisation. Man'is to become divine by realising the divinity that is expressed within him, aswfillasiueach- and everything in the uni r verse. Vodanta does not seek'to find God ns some teach, but seeks io find the self, for it if- recognised that God is.the'self'in'all'things, linconsciqusly, humanity ' seeks God everywhere,',arid seeks, by faith for graco and undeserved. favour's from God. and does' not try to unfold Him' from within. ; The lecturess wc.nt fin to contend t.hnt' w'n slinllnovcr know God until we »o Him in all thinge. .'.•' .;
