The Hawko's Bay Ploughing Match and Entire; Parade Committee mot at the Carlton Club Hotel on Saturday night, Mr. Ambrose Wellwood occupying tho chair. It was decided," inter alia, to hold a dinner after -the match. Air. Alexander (of Hawora) was appointed judgo of the horses, and a large amount of detail business was done. The body of Neil Duncan, who was drowned in the Tukituki liiver on July 4, has been recovered. Parties have been out in search on several occasions, but Messrs. John Duncan (brother of deceased) and Donald M'Rao found tho body yesterday. At an- inquest held torday, by Mr. H. W. Brabant, coroner, evidence was given by William Hallgarth that ho .noticed a man trying to crass the river on July 4, and eaw him washed, away. A verdict of "accidentally drowned" was returned.
