Morrison, tlie city financier and multi-millionaire, who died on May « 26 (says the "Daily News"). The amount of , the estate, however, is not knowu, but it ; must be enormous —many millions, in fact—since a report is current, that Iho Treasury > haVo received £1,000,000 from the executors on account of death duties. : . Mossrs. Ashurst, Morris, Crisp, and Co., . solicitors of Throgmorton , Avenue, have forwarded us a'summary of the will, in which the .charitable legacies a.re set forth as fol- , low:— ■■'.-. There are also. handsoino bequests to em« ployees.' Mr. 'J. H. Dickson, agent, Islay, and Mr. Wm. Stanford, bailiff, Basildon, are to receive £1000 each: Mr. John Laughton, factor, Islay, £500; Mr. Charles Stanford, Basildon, £200; Mr. Paul Stow, an annuity of £100; and each sor,v;«.t at Harley Streetj each employee at Coleman Street, and each gamekeeper or watcher a year's wages! The executors are Mr. .Walter Morrison, Mr. .Hugh Morrison, Mr. Archibald Morrison, and Miss Ellen Morrison. Tho latter, however, has renounced probate. To her is bequeathed the furniture'and effects, except pictures and statuary, at Basildon and Harley Street, tho lease of the latter residence, the Berks.,estate and lands in Goring for life, and one-fourth of the residuary estate. Trust legacies comprise , £15jOOO each to Emily Todd and Mrs. Sawbridgo, in the latter case for life, and then to her children, and £10,000 each to Edward Todd and Maria Todd. Thoso to Emily and Maria Todd wero reduced by codicil in. consequence of giftsduring life to £7636 Bs'. ;6d;-arid-£5581' 10s". Bd. respectively. Three children of a lato cousin, Jlartha Pothecary, receive, legacies, of £20,000, reduced by. codicil in each case.to £9691 11s. lid. The husband of one of the threo receives £5000. To Mr. Walter Morrisonie left absolutely tho Berkshire: estato and -lands in, Goring after Miss Ellen Morrison's death; all freeholds and leaseholds in the city of London, and one-fourth of the residua'ry estate.': Finally, there is a list of bequests to the lato Mr. Alfred Morrison's children. 'To Mr. Hugh Morrison is left the entail of Islay and two-sixthe of one half of the residuary estate. '"Stocks:to-tho valueof £125,222; given, to Mr. Hugh by Mr. Morrison is to betoken on account of his eha.ro of ivisiduo;: Mr. Archibald Morrison receives a trust legacy of £270,000 to himself for; life and then to his children, and also two-sixths of one-hnlf of tho residuary. Stocks to tho value of £125,222 are to betaken into account.
