The Feilding Football Club's senior team' left yesterday afternoon for their annual visit to Maawkau, where they play tho Hui Maiyteam to-day. - As tho result of the sitting of the Assessment Court hero, the total reduction made in Mr. J. F. H. McCarthy's valuations wag £1685. Tho whole of this, amount was taken - off the unimproved value, and the improvement values wcro never seriously challenged., Tho capital value of tho borough as it/stood before the sitting of tho Court was £770,699; unimproved value, £455,939; value of improvements, £314,750. The latter sum will remain at tho figure stated, tho, other two being reduced by £1685. At tho Assessment, Court three years ago the reductions' Inado totalled over £7000.
Nearly all tho members of . tho Wangamii Education 'Board will bo present at tho - oponing of the new brick Technical at Hawera, next Tuesday, when addresses' will bo delivered by tho Minister for: Education (Hon.
