DEFERRED DELIVERY. (By Telegraph—l'rcss Association.—Oopjrlirhf.) . Melbourne, July 23. The Postmaster-General (Sir John Quick) states that a deferred delivery cable system proposal is still .under consideration of the Pacific Cable Board. Tho Government is awaiting a reply. ■ '
The Minister added that if the expects t&is of those who made tb© proposals are realised,'the syetem might be greatly beneficial. At the same time, it might result in a loa? of revenue.
