Laver and W. W. Armstrong retire from this game with the' best figures on the colonial side, for whom H. Carter did sterling work with the gloves. The Australians commence a second match with Yorkshiro to-day at Sheffield, and on Thursday the Derbyshire match is to follbw. The fourth Test starts at Manchester this day week.
