TO SOLVE THE UNEMPLOYED QUESTION.
Sir—Now 'that there is such a great depression.'in the building trades in this fair city, I think it about timo that tho City Council. who have tho po>vor to coudeuft somo or the dirty and ral/-infested rookonca about our city, should do so, and compel tho owners to build 6anitary, dwellings or shops. Take Tory Street, for lnsjtanco. Thoro are dwellings in it, not fit for fowlhouses. If all die owners were made to ropW or rebuild, it would bo a great boon for the health of tho poor peoplo that aro compelled to live m them, and a boon to thft t workers for employment, and ( would re- ( move a big'oyesoro to the public at large. I am, etc., . * * ' A WORKER. July 14.
